Kurama, the Nine Tailed-Beast

Kurama is a fox with red-orange fur and red eyes, but it possesses the upper body structure of a human. When Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, sealed half of it within Naruto, it shrunk, but now it is still a massive beast, being taller than Gyuki. When Naruto separated Kurama from its chakra, its entire body became skeletal, but it later regained its healthy look after consuming a certain amount of Naruto's chakra while he was using its own. This is how Kurama looks like. Kurama is a mocking and shrewd individual, along with a somewhat twisted sense of humor. It is also very prideful, as it was easily provoked by Madara intentionally criticized before he enslaved it, and believes that a Tailed Beast's strength is measured by how many tails it has, which earned the fox nothing but disapproval from its brethren, especially Shukaku. However, it is shown that Kurama deeply cares about the Sage of Six Paths, viewing him with great respect and even shed tears after the Sage had imparted his final words to them. Having intense hatred and distrust against humans, Kurama plotted to use Naruto's dependence on its power to gain control over him and eventually break free from the seal, before it was bested in combat and stripped of most of its chakra. However, Kurama's attitude towards Naruto soon began to change during the Fourth Shinobi World War, when the young shinobi told the fox that he hoped to resolve its hatred someday. Despite Kurama reproaching him for such a claim, the fox nevertheless had developed a level of respect for Naruto and his determination, even noting that he was different that other humans it had previously encountered, eventually allowing Naruto to use the Nine-Tails chakra mode without consequence. Later, as Naruto told Son Goku of his desire to save all the Tailed-Beasts and become friends with Kurama, the fox-having witnessed all of the challenges and endeavors Naruto had in his life-silently told the young shinobi that if he truly intended to help them, he would have to prove it through his actions. When Naruto successfully freed Son Goku from Obito, the main antagonist of the series, Kurama finally became convinced of Naruto's word and offered to meld its chakra with his as a coalition, to which then Naruto removed the seal that restrained it and happily acknowledged the fox as his team-mate from Konoha. Within that short space of time, the two had begun to trust each other, even to the point where Naruto would allow Kurama to take control of his body without worry, and switch back without hesitation. Kurama later admitted that it had the utmost faith in Naruto being able to defeat Obito and to carry on the legacy Minato and Jiraiya had left him, which also means that it no longer holds a grudge against Minato for sealing it inside Naruto. Kurama is also shown to be more caring about its comrades now as it put itself in harm's way to save B and Gyuki and even expressed concern for Naruto managing so many chakra cloaks at once. Although Kurama has no longer an interest in getting outside of Naruto, it is still bothered when Naruto resorts to using any power than its own. Kurama is also shown to have a more comical side to it when it argued with Naruto about each other's stubbornness.

At one point during the time of the formation of the shinobi villages, the Gold and Silver brothers of Kumogakure were assigned to capture Kurama, but were both swallowed whole by the fox. However, the two brothers managed to survive and gain some of its power by eating the flesh of its stomach for two weeks, forcing Kurama to regurgitate them. After that event, Madara Uchiha defected from Konoha and used his sharingan to control and use Kurama to help and fight against the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, in order to exact his revenge, but Hashirama defeated Kurama and Madara, and captured the Nine-Tails. Some time after the battle, Hashirama deemed Kurama too dangerous to be allowed to to walk free, therefore Mito Uzumaki, Hashirama's wife, sealed Kurama in her, becoming its first jinchuriki. Over the period of the first two Shinobi World Wars, Mito kept Kurama at bay except for one occasion when the seal had weakened as she was going through childbirth. Towards the end of her life, Mito passed on the status and responsibility to another member of her clan, Kushina Uzumaki, who later became the wife of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze. Although Kushina was terrified with the responsibility of containing Kurama, Mito assured her successor that the fox's hatred was powerless against her love.

12 years before the start of the series, after the end of the Third Shinobi World War, the Third Hokage and his wife made preparations to ensure that Kurama would remain sealed within Kushina as she gave birth to Naruto. However, despite keeping her childbirth a secret, a masked man discovered Kushina's location, killing her escorts and managing to break the seal, seizing control of Kurama. Since Kushina survived the extraction, Obito tried to have Kurama kill Kushina before Minato got her and their son to safety. Soon afterwards, Kurama was summoned to the village by Obito to cause destruction. While Kurama was rampaging in the village and decimating the shinobi forces tried to repel it, Minato managed to place a Contract Seal on Obito during their fight to free the fox from Obito's control. Despite that, Kurama still harbored a deep hatred for Konoha for viewing it as nothing but a mindless beast and sealing it away for decades and resolved to destroy the village without orders from Obito. Before Kurama could eradicate Konoha from the face of the world, Minato summoned Gamabunta, a giant toad from Mount Myoboku, on top of the fox, and quickly teleporting it to Kushina and Naruto's location, while letting its Tailed Beast Ball detonate away from the village. Afterwards, Kushina used her chakra chains to subdue Kurama, planning to seal it back inside her before she dies. However, Minato knowing that Kurama would revive without a host, and how a great a threat Obito is, came up with a plan to give Naruto a means of combat Obito in the future when he decides to attack again. Since it's chakra was to huge to be sealed within an infant like Naruto, Minato first used the Dead Demon Consuming Seal to separate and seal the Yin half of it with him and the Yang half within Naruto. Kurama attempted to stop the process by killing Naruto while Kushina was weakened, but both the parents sacrificed themselves to protect their newborn and complete the sealing, with the fox cursing the pair during its last moments of freedom. Later, upon awakening within Naruto's subconscious, and learning the nature of the seal, Kurama quickly realized the situation behind Minato's intention. However, it calmly, decided to wait and weaken the seal through the cracks of its formation with its chakra, determined to influence Naruto as much as it can to use its power.

On my next post, I will be talking about Naruto! You might like it.

Gyuki, the Eight Tailed-Beast

Gyuki looks like a bull with the body of an octopus and it has four horns on its head. The lower left part of his horns were permanently sliced off in a battle with the Third Raikage, A, and the right horns were destroyed by its own Tailed-Beast Ball. It also has straight teeth, one of which was also blown off when its Tailed-Beast Ball backfired. It has a muscular upper-body structure, with a hunched back similar to an American bison, arms with spiked protrusions on the elbows, and hands with opposable thumbs like a human. It has no hind-legs, but its lower half is made up of the eight tails which are like tentacles of an octopus, and put all these together, you get this.  Gyuki is characterized as a tough and serious individual, and in addition, Gyuki is shown to have good analytic skills. With regards to its relationships with the other Tailed-Beasts, Gyuki mentioned that it and its brethren detested Kurama for its habit of ranking their strength by the number of tails they have. In the past, Gyuki was infamous in Kumogakure for going on a rampage when its jinchuriki would lose control of it. This was mainly due to its hatred towards humans for oppressing it and sealing it. Gyuki kept on being that way until it was sealed in B, who later changed it after he beat it in a one-on-one combat. Since then, Gyuki's relationship with B became for relaxed, with B sitting on the muzzle while talking to Gyuki leisurely. B sometimes tends to annoy Gyuki by comical effect, as its no-nonsense demeanor often contrasts with B's tendency to goof off whenever he wants to. Gyuki fell into the possession of Kumogakure, however, its ferocity was so great that none of its former jinchuriki could control it. They would lose control, and Gyuki would go on a rampage and destroy the village, requiring the Third Raikage to form a special coalition to subdue it. During one of its rampages, the Third fought Gyuki alone allowing his comrades to escape. During this encounter, the Third managed to cut off all the tails, but both him and Gyuki collapsed with their techniques before they could finish the battle. At some point in the past, one Kumogakure ninja tried to mimic what the Gold and Silver brothers did with Kurama, the Nine Tailed-Beast y eating one of Gyuki's tentacles, but the person then died.

Wait for my next post on Kurama, the Nine Tailed-Beast!

Chomei, the Seven Tailed-Beast

Chomei was a Tailed-Beast that resembled a rhinoceros beetle and had six of its seven tails resembling green insect wings, along with the seventh tail, all growing from the end of the abdomen. Put all this together and looks like this. The stem of the tails are green but the wings are orange. Its eyes seem to be covered by a helmet-like skull, from inside of which, an orange glow can be seen. It also has spike protrusions on its shoulders and a row of slits on each shoulder, and six legs of three on each side. The legs are also covered in blue armor, with the exception at extreme ends which are green in color. During the last remaining days of the Sage of Six Paths, Chomei was still in its larval stage of development but still had its tails. Chomei had a happy and go-lucky personality - which it seemingly shares with its jinchuriki when it introduced itself to Naruto, referring it to itself as 'Lucky Seven Chomei', which might be an allusion due to the fact that it has seven tails and the number seven having long been seen as a lucky as well as happy number. As a Tailed-Beast, Chomei possesses massive amounts of chakra. It has the ability to fly and uses a variety of insect-based techniques. Chomei was in possession of Takigakure and the Land it is in is unknown.

My next post is going to be about Gyuki, the Eight Tailed-Beast! Hope you enjoy this post!

Saiken, the Six Tailed-Beast

Saiken resembles a large, white bipedal slug with stubby arms and feet and looks like this. It has two prominent optical tentacles, eyes, and hole-like openings as a mouth. Saiken's entire body is covered in a slimy substance. Saiken fell into the hands of Kirigakure, the Land of Water and sealed into Utakata. It was revealed that at some point before its appearance, Utakata's master, Harusame, tried and failed to extract Saiken from Utakata intending to save his student from being a living weapon for the village. Utakata, however, having not heard what his master said to him, later came under the assumption after the incident that his master tried to kill him. This failed removal resulted in Utakata transforming into Saiken and killed Harusame. Like all the other Tailed-Beasts, Saiken has a lot of chakra. Saiken is able to emit corrosive substances that are extremely dangerous on contact in the form of a liquid or gas, which was able to burn through the skin of another Tailed-Beast, such as Gyuki.

Saiken can be really cool when coming to dangerous substances, but if you are the one who is facing it's wrath, it can be scary.

Kokuo, the Five Tailed-Beast

Kokuo was a quiet and reserved individual. Kokuo looks like a white horse, but with a dolphin's head and Five Tails. If you can't picture it, here is the image. It has two pointed long horns and two shorter horns in the front. The end of its horns, hooves and tails are light brown. It also has red markings under its dark blue-green eyes. Like all the other Tailed-Beasts it has a large amount of chakra. Kokuo uses its horns in battle, and it has shown ramming-force to even injure Gyuki, the Eight Tails, and knock it a considerable distance. Kokuo fell into the possession of Iwagakure, and they also have Son Gokuu, the Four Tails. Kokuo's jinchuriki, Han, was the tallest physically and is easily a head taller than Gyuki's jinchuriki, A. Han seemed to loathe humanity, due to being neglected and hated by his village. The Akatsuki, a mysterious group of ninjas, captured and sealed Kokuo before the beginning of Naruto Shippuden.

The next post I am going to be doing is Saiken, the Six Tails and its jinchuriki is one who ran away from his village.

Son Gokuu, the Four Tailed-Beast

Son Gokuu was a Tailed-Beast that belonged to Iwagakure, Land of Earth. Even though Son Gokuu looks like a gorilla, he is actually a red-furred monkey with green skin. It has spike-like protrusions along its tails, elongated blunt fangs and two long horns curving upwards on its forehead like a a crown. In its mouth, Son has a big, round opening from where it spits lava, and it doesn't seem to have a tongue. If you put all this together, it looks like this. The nature-elements Son Gokuu uses are fire, earth and has a kekkai genkai called Lava release. It is used when you are combining both fire and earth to the best ratio possible. Roshi, the jinchuriki of Son Gokuu, was able to use the kekkai genkai. Son Gokuu used to hate humans because they enslaved it and also believed that apes are smarter than humans. Whenever he is talking about the Sage of Six Paths, he shows him great respect. It also has a liking to Naruto Uzumaki, as it was moved by his actions for truly trying to save it in a war and gave him some of its chakra before it was sealed. Son Gokuu has a high amount of respect for those who respect the Tailed-Beasts.

Hope you enjoy this blog on the Four Tailed-Beast, Son Gokuu!

Isobu, the Three-Tailed Beast

Isobu is a gigantic sea-serpent that was sealed into Yagura, the Forth Mizukage, and like all the other Tailed-Beasts, it has a large amount of chakra. Isobu's appearance is somewhat of a large turtle with a crab-shell and three shrimp-like tails. It is always shown that it's right-eye is always closed, probably from an injury, but it is actually unknown from when it occurred. Isobu's abilities include that it can create corals and it can swim at very high speeds. Isobu has also been shown to roll into a ball to attack its opponents, making it an advantage for the Tailed-Beast because then, it could use its spikes to severely damage the opponent. Its tough skin and shell provides additional defense, allowing it to withstand nearly all forms of attacks. In the anime, Isobu's abilities were greatly enhanced, allowing it to create shock waves to repel attacks and produce large tidal waves that spread in all directions. The only known jinchuriki known for Isobu is a Konohagakure ninja, Rin Nohara, and the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura.

Isobu can be really cool and powerful at the same time and if you were to have Isobu sealed in you, you would be one lucky man. See you until my next post on Son Gokuu!
